As Senior Design Lead, this role is responsible for providing design experience services across AIA as part of a COE.
. In collaboration with Director of Design Experience, lead AIA's digital transformation from a design experience perspective
. Act as the point person for all Design Experience requirements that come through to AIA Digital from AIA's 18 business units across APAC
. Evolve and contribute to best-in-class digital design systems that defines AIA digital experience
. Be responsible and accountable for the quality of Design Experience solutions and adherence to Design System
. Build and develop a strong team and team culture creating an environment where people want to work and thrive
. Mentor designers and build the best-in-class in-house design experience capabilities for Group within the Philippines
. Drive design operations excellence within the Philippines to support and ensure the success of the function
Design (30%)- Create and maintain the-best-in-class Group Digital Design Systems (component library with guidelines) for an optimal user experience across the markets
- Establish and maintain a governance model that meets Group standards while balancing efficiency, scalability, and consistency
- Stay informed and in tune with the latest developments within UX methodologies, best practices, trends etc., and constantly improve our work and the way we work
Team management (30%)- Review and critique Design solutions produced by designers to make sure that the solutions meet Group standards
- Build/maintain the best-in-industry design team
- Identify areas of improvement in our work process, including the process between Group and local BUs, and suggest executable actions
- Work with PM to make sure that the workload of designers is reasonable, and the team is at high performance
- Work with peers to manage demand pipeline and resource planning
- Deliver outcomes and results that support BU's and Group achieve their KPI's
BU support (20%)- Work with local BUs to balance the governance and autonomy in creating new components and design solutions
- Review BU UX solutions and suggest improvements
- Identify quality vendors that can meet our standards in the markets we work in and manage logistics for the engagement.
Project management (15%)- Negotiate with stakeholders to create a reasonable timeline that balances quality and efficiency
- Support project Design Leads in steering the projects to the right direction while meeting requirements
- Support designers in various tasks to meet the tight deadline and expectations from stakeholders
Vendor management (5%)- As and when required, identify and engage quality vendors that can meet our standards in the markets we cover and manage logistics for the engagement
- Manage vendors to produce local BU Design solutions that meet our standards and schedule
Experience and Education- Bachelor's or master's degree in related fields or equivalent experiences
- Min 10 years of relevant experiences
- Track records of creating truly human centered, delightful customer experiences for large corporations (could be a client)
- Highly desirable: Experience in a startup environment/demonstration of an ability to build a team/business from the ground up
Knowledge and Skills- Have the highest standards in building the best-in-class Design
- Hands-on design skills with the industry standards tools
- Updated with the latest UX trends, best practices, methodologies, and tools
- Must have hands-on knowledge of the end-to-end development process for a large digital products.
- Superior verbal and written presentation skills to communicate the ideas in a clear and concise manner to designers, technologists, project managers and executives
- Ability to think strategically to produce maximum ROI for Group
Others- Must be goal driven and have an ability to find ways to reach the set goals
- Must be organized, able to work with minimal supervision, flexible to switch rapidly between different projects and manage them in a timely manner
- Must be a self-starter and willing to accept tough challenges with a positive attitude

- Have a good balance between details and a big picture
- Must be interested in digital transformation of a traditional company
- Multilingual capability is a plus
- Experience within Insurance/financial domains is a plus
