Brief Description
- Manage Medium-Complexity Contract Drafting: Serve as the primary support for the Deal Strategy team, handling the drafting, structuring, and execution of client pricing agreements.
- Execute and Amend Agreements: Draft basic contracts, amendments, and adjustments, ensuring all necessary approvals are secured for accurate and timely execution.
- Team Leadership and Development: Coach, onboard, train, and upskill Deal Analysts within the Cognizant team.
- Optimize Workflow and Quality: Deliver a fluctuating volume of tasks within defined timelines while upholding consistent quality standards.
- Strategic Deal Guidance: Provide best practice guidance to the Sales team regarding deal management and effective contract structuring.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a deal support capacity, preferably within a technology environment.
- Platform Proficiency: Hands-on experience utilizing Salesforce for case management workflows.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in managing and optimizing both manual and automated processes.
- Leadership & Development: Proven track record of coaching and training Deal Analysts.
- Project Management: Ability to present, implement, and manage new process pilots for the Cognizant Deal Analyst team.
Skillsets / Hiring requirements
- Contracting Experience: Prior experience in contract administration or a similar transactional role.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word features, including document locking, advanced formatting, and utilizing styles (manual drafting in Word environment is the primary task).
- Organizational Background: Experience navigating complex organizational structures, ideally within a large, multinational corporation (e.g., Google-sized environments).
- Compliance & Detail Orientation: Demonstrated ability to draft and edit contracts precisely following detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Global Collaboration: Willingness and ability to work across multiple time zones (AMER, EMEA, and APAC) to ensure adequate global coverage.
Sample tasks include (but are not limited to)
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Utilize provided templates to draft and customize contracts as required for unique deal scenarios.
- Approval & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all contracts receive appropriate approvals and reviews based on deal complexity.
- Seller Support & Edit Management: Process and validate edit requests submitted by sellers, confirming system and policy supportability.
- Cross-Functional Case Resolution: Collaborate with diverse internal teams to resolve complex deal support cases efficiently.
- CRM Interaction & Case Triage: Manage inbound Salesforce (SFDC) cases from Account Executives (AEs), prioritizing workload by case type, complexity, and deal size. Interaction is primarily managed asynchronously within the case system.
- Legal Terminology Management: Adjust contract language related to commercial legal terms, while ensuring separation from the pricing function (managed elsewhere).
- System & Tool Coordination: Utilize various quoting tools; handle scenarios requiring manual contracting that automated CPQ systems cannot accommodate.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate closely with Monetization Operations, Legal, and Sales teams throughout the process.
