Job Description

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

  • Building databases
  • Maintenance of databases
  • Level 3 DBA support duties (business and off business hours)
  • Work with developers and systems architects on database designs
  • Troubleshooting and fixing problems with normal operation of database servers
  • Pull database stats and reports
  • Build scripts for re-occuring tasks

COMPETENCIES

Core Competencies (Must-have Competencies)

  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration
  • 5+ years of experience with MySQL
  • 3-5 years of experience developing and reading Java code and using DevOps tools like CI/CD pipelines
  • 3-5 years of experience with noSQL database like MongoDB is an important skill
  • Candidate must be able to work weekdays, nights and weekends

Complementary Competencies (Good-to-have Competencies)

  • Experience working an Agile environment
  • Knowledge of SaFe Methodology
  • Java scripting development backgroup is an asset.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification/s

  • University degree in computer science, software engineering, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
