Position: Senior Data Security Manager
Office Location: UBP Plaza, PAsig
Job Summary: The Data Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the organization's data security compliance and governance within the broader information security framework. This role involves developing and implementing data security policies, ensuring adherence to information security policies, regulations, and protecting the organization's data assets
Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversees the work of Data Security Analysts, ensuring that their activities align with the organization's data security policies and objectives
- Develop and enforce data security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with information security policies, regulations and standards by conducting regular data security audits and risk assessments.
- Monitor and respond to data security incidents and breaches.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, security teams, and business units to ensure data protection compliance.
- Implement data loss prevention (DLP) strategies and technologies.
- Provide training and awareness programs on data security best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest data security trends and threats.
- Prepare and present data security reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations in collaboration with the Data Privacy Team, incorporating data privacy requirements on controls surrounding PIIs.
- Develop and practice joint incident response plans to ensure seamless collaboration during cybersecurity incidents.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data security or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., ISO27001, NIST, GDPR).

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CC, CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
