GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Data Architect designs and optimizes data models to meet business needs, industry standards, and best practices. They lead efforts to enhance existing data models, ensuring efficient performance and alignment with overarching strategies. The role also involves guiding Solution Architects, cultivating source system knowledge, and ensuring accurate data mapping for reports and analytics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and refine logical data models, ensuring alignment with business requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Create advanced physical data models, optimizing structures for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Develop and implement comprehensive optimization strategies for existing data models, emphasizing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Conduct thorough reviews of deliverables to ensure completeness, correctness, and uphold data quality and integrity.
- Ensure that physical designs adhere to the high standards set by the Data Architecture team, following industry best practices and compliance requirements.
- Lead and guide Solution Architects in the implementation of diverse Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, ensuring alignment with the overarching data strategy.
- Cultivate extensive source system knowledge to identify the optimal sources for specific information, reinforcing data accuracy and reliability.
- Provide expert-level source-to-target mapping for reports, extractions, and analytical requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of data flow and transformations.
- Other job-related activities that may be assigned from time to time.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Education Graduate of Bachelor's Degree preferably Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Related Work Experience - 7 to 8 Years of experience in data architecture-related work. Must have experience in designing and/or developing a mid - large scale data warehouse or data lake.
- Experience in implementing various relational or NoSQL databases or Hadoop technologies. (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, Hive, Pig, Impala, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase).
- Experienced in either Reporting or ETL is required.
- Knowledge Knowledgeable on the following:
- SDLC with emphasis on design phase or any other Agile methodologies
- Data warehousing implementation using MPP databases.
- Knowledgeable of both 3NF and Star Schema model implementation.
- Knowledgeable of various Hadoop implementation strategies.
- Knowledgeable on SDLC with emphasis on design phase or any other Agile methodologies
- Skills:
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
- Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision or with a team depending on the scenario.
