Our client is seeking an experienced cybersecurity leader to drive global security incident response, threat intelligence, and security operations initiatives across a complex multinational environment. Responsibilities:
- Lead global security incident response activities, overseeing the detection, investigation, containment, and remediation of cybersecurity incidents across a 24/7 operating environment.
- Manage and mentor teams of security analysts, incident responders, and threat intelligence professionals, ensuring effective incident handling and continuous capability development.
- Drive the enhancement of incident response frameworks, playbooks, procedures, and security operations processes to improve response effectiveness and operational resilience.
- Oversee security monitoring and threat detection functions delivered through internal teams and external security service providers.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting, threat intelligence analysis, and forensic investigations to identify emerging threats and strengthen organizational cyber defenses.
- Collaborate closely with CISOs, security leadership, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to develop and implement security strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of security technologies, tools, and architectures to enhance monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.
- Develop incident response metrics, KPIs, and executive reporting to measure performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify security gaps, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks while driving remediation and security posture improvement programmes.
- Support cybersecurity transformation initiatives, automation projects, and engineering improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cyber resilience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in Security Operations Centre (SOC) management, incident response, threat intelligence, cyber threat hunting, and digital forensics.
- Deep understanding of security monitoring, incident triage, malware analysis, vulnerability management, and security architecture principles.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence, and security automation technologies.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory standards including ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
- Experience leveraging automation, analytics, and advanced security technologies to improve threat detection and response capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and external partners.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing high-performing cybersecurity teams in complex global environments.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including significant experience within security operations, incident response, and threat intelligence functions.
- Demonstrated experience leading global or regional cybersecurity operations and managing enterprise-scale security programmes.
- Experience working within multinational organizations, preferably across banking, financial services, technology, or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of modern security operations, cyber defense strategies, and incident management best practices.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications and leadership experience are highly preferred.
