Overall Purpose of The Job

• The Senior Crew Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of the mobilization process of seafarers of particular nationalities. The role is also responsible for coordinating with training centers and medical providers when necessary as well as contacting seafarers on the process of mobilization.
• To manage and execute the mobilisation process of seafarers from designated nationalities, ensuring all pre-deployment requirements are met. The role involves close coordination with the Training Team and other relevant departments to facilitate readiness, while maintaining effective communication with seafarers throughout the mobilisation journey.
  
  

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

• Ensures timely processing of visa and other formalities relating to the joining crew. – onsite due to verification
• Ensures that all pre-joining documents submitted by seafarers are physically received onsite, thoroughly reviewed, and verified for authenticity in accordance with applicable company and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for preparing approved seafarers for deployment by ensuring completion of all required certifications, courses, tests, and medical appointments. This includes verifying hard copy documents after final validation by the Crew Coordinator, and securely maintaining these records in accordance with company documentation standards and audit requirements in ShipSure
• Maintains contact with personnel while on leave and during mobilization. - hybrid
• Coordinates with the Training Department to ensure all required training enrollments for approved seafarers are completed accurately and on time
• Maintaining accurate and up to date records in ShipSure Crewing and uploading documents if required. - hybrid
• Responsible for processing flag state document applications and maintaining control procedures. - hybrid
• Provides administrative support to other members of the Crew Cell, including assisting the Crew Coordinator who has counterparts or coordination requirements with other regions (e.g., V.Ships Greece).
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Crew Mobilisation Manager (CMM) to support the efficient operations of the Office. Acts as a backup for the CMM during their absence, ensuring continuity of mobilisation activities.

Essential

• A Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, (removed highlighted we don't accept vocation course) Bachelor's/College Degree from any field
• Good computer operating skills including word processing and spreadsheet experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and interact with people at all levels.

• Relevant experience in a similar role preferably in Subsea/Marine/Offshore Construction Industry.
