Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant / Pricing Analyst with strong data analysis skills to support pricing, costing, and profitability analysis. The role involves analyzing large sets of financial and pricing data, identifying trends and variances, validating data accuracy, and providing insights to support business and pricing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze pricing, cost, sales, and profitability data to identify trends, patterns, and variances.
Perform detailed data analysis to support pricing and cost-related decisions.
Prepare and maintain pricing and costing reports and analysis.
Analyze product/service costs and assess their impact on margins and profitability.
Identify unusual trends, discrepancies, and data inconsistencies and investigate their root causes.
Perform variance analysis between actual, standard, budgeted, or historical costs/prices.
Develop and maintain Excel-based models, reports, and dashboards.
Consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources.
Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Operations, and other teams to validate and interpret data.
Support pricing reviews, profitability analysis, forecasting, and other financial analysis activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience in data analysis, pricing analysis, cost analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and other data analysis functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with large or complex datasets.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies.
Experience with ERP systems, BI tools, or reporting platforms is an advantage.
Good communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
