Job Description

Senior Statutory Reporting Accountant

(internally titled: Business Functional Partner)

Global Business Services | Philippines

Hybrid

Salary: PHP 83,000 - PHP 120,000

The role

This is a statutory financial reporting role — not FP&A, management reporting, or internal close activities.

You'll join our GBS Finance team focused on Corporate Reporting and Treasury, with responsibility for corporate tax and indirect tax obligations and external statutory financial statements. You'll independently prepare and own externally submitted statutory financial statements, apply accounting standards in practice, make decisions on treatment and presentation, and work directly with external auditors, tax advisors, and UK-based stakeholders.

Ideal background is Big 4 or mid-tier audit transitioning in-house. This is a senior individual contributor role — you'll be expected to operate independently from day one.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage global corporate tax filings and payments across entities
  • Prepare and own statutory financial statements (IFRS and UK GAAP) — including notes and disclosures
  • Apply accounting standards and document technical judgments
  • Manage audit cycles and liaise directly with external auditors
  • Own indirect tax obligations (VAT, BIR, SEC) with external advisors
  • Support cashflow reporting and treasury activities (incl. intercompany)
  • Maintain data integrity in Dynamics 365 and drive process improvements

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • End-to-end ownership of statutory financial statements (not just support/review)
  • Strong IFRS and UK GAAP experience applied in practice
  • Strong practical technical accounting experience
  • Able to operate independently at senior level
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline management
  • Clear written and verbal English communication

Candidates without ownership of externally submitted financial statements are unlikely to be progressed.

Desirable

  • CPA or equivalent
  • Big 4 / mid-tier audit background
  • Treasury exposure (cash forecasting, banking)
  • ERP/reporting tools (e.g. Dynamics 365, Power BI)
