Senior Corporate Accountant
Location: Remote — Philippines (collaborating daily with the U.S. team)

Support a growing organization by owning core accounting operations and ensuring financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date. As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you'll be a key member of the Finance & Accounting team, leading day-to-day accounting functions with a focus on general ledger management, financial reporting, and system-driven workflows. You'll also mentor and manage junior accountants, with training provided for client-specific tools and processes.

What you'll do
- General ledger & close: Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks or NetSuite, manage month-end and year-end close, and prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
- Financial reporting: Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, budget vs. actuals, cash forecasts, and other internal financial reports for leadership.
- Accounts payable & receivable: Oversee A/P and A/R processes including invoice review, payment processing, billing, and collections follow-up.
- System & tool management: Navigate internal platforms including Karbon, and leverage project management tools (Asana, ClickUp, Trello, or Monday) to track tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Compliance & audit support: Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls, and assist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting as needed.
- Team leadership: Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior accountants, providing day-to-day guidance and supporting their development.
- Process improvement: Identify gaps in current workflows and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the accounting function.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or NetSuite; experience with Karbon or similar practice management tools is a plus.
- Technical proficiency with project management platforms such as Asana, ClickUp, Trello, or Monday.com.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, debits and credits, A/R, A/P, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior accounting staff.
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; polished and professional in all interactions.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach; able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
