Role Description
The Senior Controller position controls and oversees all financial processes, and directs the organization to its targeted financial position through accurate and timely financial analysis, assessment, and recommendation. This position is also responsible for setting annual targets and budget and projecting annual cash flows.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Finance Operations: Ensures functional, stable financial processes; monitors liquidity; ensures tax compliance; coordinates with internal/external parties for issue resolution and process improvements; mentors team; recommends process enhancements; executes cost-saving and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Financial Analysis: Prepares annual budgets and targets; projects financial performance and cash flows; conducts comprehensive financial statement analyses; assesses monthly branch performance, variances, and cash flow projections; creates financial models to improve performance; approves pricing and discounts.
- Financial Recommendation: Delivers timely financial recommendations based on data analysis; suggests cost-saving and revenue-enhancing strategies; provides financial inputs for decision-making; communicates financial health, strengths, and weaknesses to management and relevant departments.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership: Coordinates effectively across departments and with external stakeholders; mentors direct reports to improve performance and compliance; fosters continuous improvement in financial operations.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Aligns financial operations with company goals through budget planning, performance tracking, and implementation of strategic financial initiatives.
Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant
- At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting
- At least five (5) years of experience in leadership/people management position
- With strong background in day-to-day financial operations and strategic financial planning
- Amenable to work in a hybrid set-up at Mandaluyong City
