Sr. Continuous Improvement Engineer
Individual Contributor and a managerial level in a manufacturing setup with a certification in LSS Black Belt
Job Purpose: The Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer leads enterprise-wide initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality across TCP. Utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other proven methodologies, the role drives process optimization efforts in production, supply chain, and business support functions. This includes identifying and resolving inefficiencies,
minimizing process variation, streamlining workflows, and supporting automation or digital
transformation efforts. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role ensures alignment of
improvement initiatives with strategic business goals, enhances customer satisfaction, and fosters a
culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. The role shall demonstrate expertise in change management and performance improvement, and initiates guidance for employees through mentoring and training workshops.
Key Accountabilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and facilitate improvement projects across production and business process areas using
Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and PDCA/PDSA methodologies.
Identify performance gaps and process inefficiencies through data analysis, value stream
mapping, Gemba walks, and stakeholder input.
Develop and implement sustainable solutions to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase
speed and productivity.
Coach, mentor, and train cross-functional teams on continuous improvement tools, techniques,
and problem-solving approaches.
Standardize best practices across departments and ensure proper documentation of
new/improved processes.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are aligned with
business objectives and key performance goals.
Support automation and digital transformation initiatives that improve transactional or operational
workflows.
Monitor post-implementation performance and ensure proper control mechanisms are in place to
sustain improvements.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action and preventive action activities, especially in
areas of recurring quality, delivery, or efficiency issues.
Promote a continuous improvement culture through communication, engagement activities, and
recognition of improvement efforts.
And other tasks that may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management. MBA is a plus
Experiences, Skillsets & Personal Competencies
Experience
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience in a continuous improvement, operational
excellence, or technical (Engineering, Manufacturing or Equivalent)
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (required); Black Belt or equivalent is a plus.
PMP, Agile, or change management certifications (e.g., Prosci) are advantageous.
