We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Senior Construction Estimator & Quantity Takeoff Specialist to support high-volume pre-construction activities across commercial, infrastructure, utility, and civil projects. This remote role plays a critical part in helping U.S. estimating teams increase bid capacity, improve turnaround times, and deliver accurate, competitive proposals.
If you have a strong background in quantity takeoffs, construction estimating, and interpreting complex construction documents, this is an opportunity to work on a diverse pipeline of U.S.-based projects while collaborating directly with senior estimators and project stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from architectural, structural, MEP, and civil construction drawings.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, addenda, and bid instructions to identify scope requirements and pricing considerations.
- Support U.S. estimating teams in preparing competitive bids within fast-paced turnaround schedules.
- Organize scope breakdowns, bid alternates, and estimate packages across multiple trade disciplines.
- Assist with bid leveling, production rate analysis, and crew-based cost modeling.
- Participate in real-time plan review and estimating sessions with senior U.S. estimators via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Utilize digital takeoff and estimating platforms to improve efficiency and bid throughput.
- Adapt to AI-assisted takeoff technologies and evolving estimating workflows introduced by clients and internal teams.
- Contribute to maintaining a 24–72-hour turnaround on assigned estimating deliverables.
What We're Looking For
Technical Expertise
- Proven experience performing quantity takeoffs and construction estimating for commercial, civil, infrastructure, utility, or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of construction assemblies, material classifications, and unit pricing methodologies.
- Experience supporting bid preparation, bid leveling, and scope development processes.
- Ability to accurately interpret complex construction plans and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with digital takeoff and estimating software platforms.
Communication & Collaboration
- Strong technical English proficiency, with the ability to interpret U.S. construction documents and specifications.
- Comfortable collaborating with U.S.-based teams in virtual environments.
- Experience using digital markup, document review, and collaboration tools during estimating workflows.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
