Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Statutory Compliance Director in audit planning, including confirming requirements, aligning timelines with auditors, and monitoring team performance and attendance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, part-time resources, and third-party providers on statutory audit requirements for assigned company entities
  • Ensure all audit-related activities, documentation, and reports are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Reconcile and analyze differences between statutory and IFRS accounts, ensuring proper documentation within the accounting system.
  • Ensure final accounts, working papers, and related documents are properly stored in SharePoint, and assess any legal requirements for physical document archiving by country.

Where required or requested:

  • Identify and flag going concern and/or equity issues in a timely manner, and coordinate resolution with Group stakeholders.
  • Recommend dividend distributions in compliance with local regulations and secure necessary Group approvals.
  • Prepare analyses and supporting schedules required during tax inspections.
  • Assist in the preparation and/or filing of corporate income tax returns.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Statutory Compliance Director.

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
  • Minimum of 710 years of experience in statutory audits and/or financial reporting, preferably within a global or multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting systems/software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, prioritize tasks, resolve issues, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Big 4 audit firm.
  • Background in BPO or shared services finance operations.
  • Experience managing and coordinating with third-party service providers.
