The Role
Work alongside a Regional and Global Commodity teams developing Strategies for Non-Production Purchasing Goods and Services. This includes sourcing and procurement activities as part of the overall procurement strategy. As Senior Commodity Buyer you will be focused on strategic sourcing activities in relation to non-production spend.
Duties can include but not exhaustive:
- Lead the delivery of Strategic buying activity for operational planned spend opportunities within defined operational spend levels.
- Manage Commodity buying activities and support wider strategic category management including Contract Mgt and raising purchase orders.
- Deliver additional value to Commodity buying on orders – interpreting and meeting operational requirements/specifications, demand and delivery of solutions.
- Support of category sourcing that continuously improves suppliers and contractors compliance with Global, Category and Regionals standards.
- Work closely with category and commodity managers and business units to establish and deliver procurement requirements, strategic benefits and compliance to existing procurement contracts.
- Ensures products and services are purchased in the most cost- and time-efficient manner, delivering agile solutions to implement and ensure purchasing best practices
- Evaluates, re-tenders, renegotiates or extends contracts and suppliers in order to facilitate tactical and strategic sourcing with relevant stakeholders.
- Engagement with operational teams to review pipeline and track regional and national opportunities.
- Identification of suppliers and supplier engagement in buying activities.
- Quotation analysis and recommendations, consideration suitability/reliability of suppliers to meet operational requirements
- Monitor and challenge non-compliant buying activities.
- Report on compliance, procurement and operational KPIs.
- Responsible for Philippines Service commodity(Manpower service, Cafeteria service, Insurance service, waste disposal and so on) sourcing requirements, support local sourcing activities
- Support training and address policy, procedure and process questions to Philippines bases end-users and suppliers. (English training will be provided by centralized team)
The Requirements
- University degree is a must.
- With relevant experience in supervisory responsibilities.
- Familiar with Contract Management.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish Strategic tasks efficiently.
- Enthusiastic and can do personality.
- Excellent attention to detail, able to work well as part of a team and autonomously
- Experience of Strategic, operational and tactical Procurement activities including Contract mgt.
- Experiences gained within large multinationals in Finance, Logistics, HR, Procurement and or IT.
- Fluent in English reading & writing.
