About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Financial Analyst with a strong background in U.S. Commercial Real Estate accounting, underwriting, and financial analysis.
This role goes beyond document review. You will analyze and validate financial information from commercial real estate documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency while applying your accounting and financial expertise to interpret complex transactions.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with T12 operating statements, rent rolls, loan agreements, property financial statements, and underwriting packages for U.S. commercial real estate assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze U.S. Commercial Real Estate financial documents, including:
- Trailing Twelve Month (T12) Operating Statements
- Property Profit & Loss Statements
- Balance Sheets
- Rent Rolls
- Loan Agreements
- Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loan documents
- Offering Memorandums (OMs)
- Purchase & Sale Agreements
- Appraisal Reports
- Property Financial Statements
- Interpret financial data and ensure information is accurately extracted and validated.
- Analyze financial metrics including:
- Net Operating Income (NOI)
- Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR)
- Capitalization Rate (Cap Rate)
- Occupancy
- Operating Expenses
- Effective Gross Income (EGI)
- Debt Service
- Cash Flow
- Identify discrepancies, anomalies, and inconsistencies across multiple financial documents.
- Validate extracted financial data using accounting principles and CRE best practices.
- Organize and maintain structured datasets used for AI model training.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve extraction accuracy and document review processes.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality, confidentiality, and data integrity.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in U.S. Commercial Real Estate.
- Background in Accounting, Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Asset Management, Underwriting, or Commercial Lending.
- Experience analyzing U.S. Commercial Real Estate financial statements.
- Hands-on experience reviewing T12 Operating Statements is required.
- Experience reviewing Rent Rolls is required.
- Experience reviewing Loan Agreements and financing documents.
- Experience supporting underwriting, acquisitions, asset management, lending, or due diligence.
- This role is not suitable for junior analysts.
