Job Description
LVJR Service Solutions Inc. is hiring an experienced Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician to support commercial and healthcare facilities.
We're looking for a well-rounded maintenance professional who can receive a work order, assess the issue, troubleshoot it, determine the proper repair, and complete the work independently. This is not a basic handyman position—we need someone with strong field experience, good judgment, and a solid understanding of commercial building maintenance.
Responsibilities- General plumbing and drain/fixture repairs
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Basic HVAC troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Doors, locks, closers, hinges, and hardware
- Drywall, ceiling tile, painting, and light carpentry
- Water heater and minor equipment troubleshooting
- Preventive maintenance inspections
- Identifying potential issues before they become larger repairs
- Providing clear before/during/after photos and professional service notes
- Escalating work appropriately when a licensed trade or additional authorization is required
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial facilities/building maintenance experience
- Strong multi-trade troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Own professional hand tools and basic power tools
- Comfortable using ladders and working around rooftop equipment
- Smartphone capable of receiving work orders and uploading photos
- Ability to write clear, professional service notes
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in customer-facing environments
- Willing to handle emergency or service calls when required
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Texas trade licenses or certifications are preferred but not required
- EPA Section 608 certification is a plus for candidates performing HVAC/refrigerant work
- Technician must understand the limits of their qualifications and know when work must be escalated to a licensed plumber, electrician, HVAC contractor, or other specialist
Experience in healthcare facilities, dental offices, medical buildings, retail, restaurants, or other occupied commercial environments is highly preferred.
