Senior Commercial Executive - Chemical Tankers, Singapore

Are you currently a Ship Broker or Charterer within the chemical tanker markets based in Singapore

We are looking for a Senior Commercial Executive for one of our shipowner clients. The role involves chartering execution across spot, COA, and time charters, commercial documentation, and acting as a key interface with charterers, brokers, and vessel managers. The ideal candidate should have at least 3–5 years experience in chartering, commercial, or shipping operations, strong commercial judgment, and the ambition to progress into a future Chartering Manager role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute chartering activities across spot, COA, and time charter fixtures
• Prepare, negotiate, and administer charter party agreements and related documentation
• Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned vessels, charterers, and brokers
• Monitor vessel utilisation, hire performance, off-hire events, and key commercial KPIs
• Produce commercial performance reports, fleet deployment outlooks, and market analysis
• Support business development through commercial proposals, market assessments, and deal evaluation
• Provide commercial input into fleet deployment decisions, new projects, and operational planning
• Support customer and partner relationships, freight benchmarking, and competitor monitoring

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years experience in chartering, commercial, or shipping operations
• Tanker experience preferred; exposure to specialisty chemicals (stainless steel IMO I type oil tankers) is a strong advantage
• Solid understanding of charter parties with strong commercial judgment
• Strong analytical capability with effective communication and stakeholder management skills
