Senior Cloudflare Solutions Architect

Job Description:

• We are seeking a Senior Cloudflare Solutions Architect with 8-10 years of experience to lead large-scale cloud migrations and architect cutting-edge AI solutions.
• This role focuses on transitioning enterprise clients from AWS, Vercel, and Acquia to Cloudflare's ecosystem while building AI-powered applications at the edge.
• You'll work closely with Sales teams to scope migrations, estimate implementation efforts, and deliver zero-downtime cutovers that reduce the total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Large-Scale Data & Platform Migrations Lead petabyte-scale migrations from AWS S3 to Cloudflare R2, implementing S3 API compatibility layers and configuring Cloudflare Sippy for incremental migration with zero downtime.
• Transition full-stack applications from Vercel to Cloudflare Pages/Workers, refactoring Edge Functions and migrating KV/Blob storage.
• Architect Edge-Slicing strategies for legacy Acquia/Drupal environments, using Workers to provide modern search (Vectorize) or AI-chat interfaces on top of legacy CMS backends Building AI-Pods and Agentic Workflows.
• Architect and deploy production-ready AI applications using Cloudflare Workers AI with serverless GPUs to run LLMs, Whisper, and Flux.
• Implement AI Gateway to provide unified observability, request retries, and fallback logic across multiple providers.
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Vectorize and D1, managing stateful AI agent sessions with Durable Objects Engineering & Effort Estimation.
• Partner with Sales to audit prospective client stacks (AWS, Vercel, Acquia) and identify migration risks and Cloudflare-native replacement opportunities.
• Create and maintain Effort Blueprints for accurate implementation timelines covering data migration, AI MVPs, and Zero Trust pilots.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of expert-level experience in distributed systems, cloud security, and global content delivery.
• Proven track record of migrating enterprise-scale storage from AWS S3 to R2 and compute from Vercel or Acquia to Cloudflare.
• Deep understanding of eventual consistency, multipart uploads, and bucket policies in S3- compatible environments.
• Expert proficiency in Wrangler CLI, Terraform, and writing performant JavaScript/TypeScript/Rust for edge computing.
• Consultative mindset with ability to explain technical value propositions (e.g., EgressFree R2 vs. AWS) to C-level stakeholders Strong track record of zero-downtime data cutovers and quantifiable TCO reduction achievements.

• Storage & Migration: Cloudflare R2 (Object Storage), Sippy.
• Migration experience from AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage

Development Platform:

• Cloudflare Workers, Pages, D1, Durable Objects.
• Migration experience from Vercel, Netlify, Heroku, and Acquia.

Edge AI:

• Cloudflare Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize
• Experience with OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Pinecone.

Application Security:

• Cloudflare WAF, Bot Management, Turnstile, Waiting Room.
• Experience with Akamai, F5, AWS WAF.

Zero Trust & SASE:

• Cloudflare One, SASE, WARP, Access.
• Migration experience from Zscaler, Cisco AnyConnect, Legacy VPNs
