Job Title: Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and optimize network infrastructure across Azure and AWS cloud environments, focusing on Nginx, Azure, and AWS load balancers.
- Ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of on-premises and cloud network infrastructures.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot network issues to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
- Lead and execute large-scale network migrations, including datacenter relocations, physical-to-virtual transitions, and cloud transformations.
- Deploy and manage load balancers (Nginx, AWS ELB, Azure Load Balancer) to optimize traffic distribution and ensure high availability.
- Ensure robust disaster recovery operations, including proactive planning and rapid response to critical network failures.
- Utilize advanced network monitoring and analysis tools to optimize performance and enhance scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Security, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration of cloud and on-premises networking solutions.
- Design and implement security best practices for both cloud and on-premise environments, including network segmentation, firewalls, and intrusion detection.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by continuously researching emerging technologies, best practices, and innovations in cloud networking.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in senior network engineering roles.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud networking.
- 3+ years of experience managing and optimizing load balancers (Nginx, AWS ELB, Azure Load Balancer).
- Proven track record of executing large-scale network migrations across diverse environments (on-prem to cloud, datacenter moves, physical to virtual).
- Expertise in firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, network security, and high-availability architecture.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional documentation and communication skills to articulate network designs and troubleshooting processes.
Education & Certifications
- Cisco – preferred
- AZ-700 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate) – preferred
- ANS-C01 (AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty) - preferred
- Preferred at least one of:
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE),
- LPIC-1
- LPIC-2
- CCIE or Fortinet Certified Professional in Network Security – would be an asset
- Security Certifications like: CISSP (ISC)², CCSP (ISC)² - would be an asset
This role requires candidates to have their core working hours aligned with business operations in either Europe or North America, depending on assignment. Successful candidates must be able to work within these time zones to support regional offices, ensure effective collaboration, and provide timely operational support. Flexibility may be required for occasional meetings or critical incidents outside of core hours.
