We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Cloud Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and operational excellence of our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This leadership role requires deep technical expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container orchestration (GKE), and CI/CD pipeline management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the cloud design and implementation/engineering efforts, translating business requirements into robust and scalable GCP cloud architecture, with a primary focus on cost-effectiveness and performance trade-offs.
- Establish and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and best practices using Terraform and Helm Charts.
- Define the roadmap and strategy for the use of core GCP services, including GKE, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Ingress, and Redis.
- Oversee and perform hands-on implementation and configuration of complex cloud environments.
- Design and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies utilizing tools such as GitLab, Cloud Build, JFrog (e.g., Artifactory), and Argo (e.g., ArgoCD).
- Drive the adoption of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and advanced container orchestration patterns.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level Cloud Engineers on technical best practices, troubleshooting, and architectural decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Platform Engineering (C4E) and development teams to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness.
- Implement and monitor cost management practices, ensuring efficient resource utilization and providing recommendations for optimization.
