We are seeking a highly qualified
Senior Civil Engineer / Structural Quality Control Engineer to lead quality assurance and control initiatives on our Hotel construction project. You will be responsible for ensuring all structural and civil works meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- QC Planning & Implementation: Develop and execute comprehensive Quality Control plans aligned with project specifications and standards
- Structural Inspections: Conduct systematic inspections of foundations, concrete works, steel structures, and load-bearing elements
- Material Testing & Verification: Oversee material testing programs, verify certifications, and approve suppliers and deliverables
- Documentation Management: Prepare detailed inspection reports, test certificates, and maintain complete QC documentation
- Code Compliance: Ensure all works comply with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements
- Non-Conformance Tracking: Identify, document, and manage defects with corrective action follow-up
- Team Coordination: Supervise QC inspectors and coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project management
- Safety & Environmental Standards: Monitor adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site
- Client & Authority Liaison: Communicate with clients, architects, and regulatory bodies on quality matters
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in structural QC on commercial/hospitality projects
- Professional License: PE/PEng or equivalent registration
- Expertise in:
- Concrete construction and testing methodologies
- Steel structural systems
- Foundation design and verification
- Building codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC, local regulations)
- Strong command of quality management systems (ISO 9001)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and project management platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hotel or hospitality project experience
- BIM (Building Information Modeling) knowledge
- Quality management certifications (CQE, CMQ/OE)
- Experience with MEP coordination
