About the role
Join SM APPLIANCE (STAR APPLIANCE CENTER, INC.) as a full-time Senior/Category Merchandising Manager based in our Pasay City, Metro Manila office. Responsible for ordering merchandise for the store/branch and monitor all merchandise consumption.
What you'll be doing
- Plan and order merchandise for assigned stores or branches based on sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand
- Scouts for new suppliers and products
- Negotiate with suppliers on product pricing, assortment, promotional support, and commercial terms
- Develop, coordinate, and execute monthly promotional activities to drive sales and increase product visibility
- Collaborate with Store Buyers to ensure effective product placement and visual merchandising in stores.
- Process and monitor supplier rebates for the support of the suppliers
- Monitor inventory movement, stock replenishment, and merchandise consumption across stores and branches to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Experience in merchandising, purchasing, category management, or inventory planning, preferably in the retail industry
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent in oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be willing to work onsite- SM Retail Headquarters, Pasay
