Position: Senior Buyer - Engineering and Industrial
Location: Sto. Tomas, Batangas

The
Senior Buyer is responsible for end-to-end materials planning and purchasing to support production requirements in a discrete manufacturing environment. This role ensures the timely availability of engineered and technical components, while maintaining optimal inventory levels and driving supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate, release, and manage purchase orders (POs) based on production requirements
- Maintain daily communication with multiple suppliers to confirm orders, deliveries, and commitments
- Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to understand specifications, drawings, and material requirements
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and payment terms
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance availability and cost efficiency
- Work closely with production teams to ensure continuous material flow
Qualifications:
- At least 5- 10 years strong experience in purchasing/supply chain
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Experience sourcing technical or engineered components (made-to-print, spec-based parts)
- Familiarity with international commercial terms and global trade/shipping terms
- Has local sourcing experience
- Basic understanding of calculating and reporting savings, including cost avoidance, cost reduction, and cash flow improvements
- Experience working in a PEZA-registered environment is an advantage
