Role Purpose:

  • The Senior Manager – Commercial Growth leads the company's commercial growth function across commercial accounts, strategic partnerships, and new market opportunities, with a focus on healthcare professionals and the broader healthcare ecosystem.
  • The role is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting high-value commercial opportunities that expand revenue, strengthen market presence, and build sustainable long-term growth.
  • The role owns the commercial growth strategy and execution across defined commercial account categories, including Team Orders, Institutional Orders, and other categories that may be established as customer demand and business opportunities arise.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute the company's commercial growth strategy and annual plans in alignment with the overall growth strategy and priorities set by the Head of Marketing & Growth.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value commercial opportunities across healthcare institutions, organizations, professional groups, healthcare professionals, and other relevant customer segments.
  • Develop scalable commercial models for different account categories, including bulk purchasing, recurring orders, team orders, institutional programs, staff uniform programs, and other account-based opportunities.
  • Establish commercial growth targets, priorities, and account development strategies.
  • Build and manage a high-value commercial growth pipeline.
  • Evaluate emerging customer demand and recommend new commercial account categories, programs, or models as opportunities arise.
  • Provide the Head of Marketing & Growth with regular updates on commercial performance, key opportunities, market developments, and recommendations for growth.

Institutional Account Development

  • Identify, acquire, and develop commercial accounts across defined account categories, including Team Orders, Institutional Orders, and other commercial segments identified as demand and business opportunities arise.
  • Develop account strategies that drive acquisition, repeat purchases, account growth, and long-term commercial value.
  • Identify organizations and customer groups with potential bulk, recurring, team, institutional, or other commercial purchasing requirements.
  • Develop commercial proposals, account programs, and purchasing models tailored to the requirements of each account category.
  • Lead negotiations and commercial discussions with key accounts and decision-makers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant decision-makers, procurement stakeholders, team leaders, and other account contacts.
  • Identify opportunities for customized, branded, recurring, or program-based scrub and uniform requirements where relevant.
  • Own the development and growth of key and strategic commercial accounts.

Role Description The Senior Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Metro Manila. This position is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding Suit It Up Manila's customer base in the luxury formal wear market. The role involves developing and executing sales and business development strategies, managing key client relationships, and collaborating with marketing and operations to ensure a seamless client experience. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and meeting potential clients, presenting bespoke service offerings, negotiating contracts, and monitoring market trends to inform business decisions. The Senior Business Development Manager will also mentor junior team members, set performance targets, and report on sales and pipeline metrics to leadership.

Strategic Partnerships

  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships that expand customer reach, revenue, distribution, brand visibility, or market access.
  • Develop partnership models, commercial proposals, and mutually beneficial business opportunities.
  • Build long-term relationships with healthcare associations, professional organizations, medical and nursing schools, conferences, events, distributors, and other relevant ecosystem partners.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and partnership agreements.
  • Evaluate partnership performance and identify opportunities to deepen or expand successful relationships.

Local Market Expansion

  • Identify potential new cities, locations, customer segments, and commercial channels based on market opportunity and healthcare professional demand.
  • Conduct commercial opportunity assessments, including market size, customer concentration, competitive landscape, and revenue potential.
  • Identify and evaluate potential local partners and market-entry opportunities.
  • Develop commercial expansion recommendations and business cases.
  • Lead commercial development for approved new market launches.

International Expansion

  • Research and evaluate international markets relevant to the brand and its healthcare professional customer base.
  • Assess market attractiveness, customer demand, competitive landscape, regulatory considerations, and commercial potential.
  • Identify potential distributors, strategic partners, licensees, and other market-entry opportunities.
  • Develop international commercial opportunity pipelines and recommendations.
  • Lead commercial partnership development for approved international expansion initiatives.

Commercial Management

  • Develop business cases, commercial proposals, forecasts, and revenue plans.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and account terms within approved parameters.
  • Evaluate account and partnership profitability and commercial viability.
  • Monitor commercial performance, including revenue, margins, conversion, retention, and repeat-order opportunities.
  • Develop account growth strategies for key commercial accounts.
  • Work with Finance, Operations, Marketing, Creative, and other relevant teams to ensure successful delivery of approved commercial initiatives.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Business Development Executive(s).
  • Assign individual markets, customer segments, accounts, or opportunity portfolios to Business Development Executive(s) based on business priorities and capabilities.
  • Set clear priorities, targets, and performance expectations for commercial growth activities.
  • Provide direction on prospecting priorities, account opportunities, and partnership development.
  • Review pipeline performance and ensure opportunities progress effectively through the commercial growth process.
  • Establish clear account ownership and minimize duplication where multiple Business Development Executives are assigned to the same market or customer segment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in fashion, retail, or luxury goods.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and consultative selling.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a professional and customer-centric approach.
  • Solid understanding of market research, competitor analysis, and trend identification.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing teams on campaigns, events, and brand-building activities.
  • Leadership ability to guide, coach, and motivate sales or business development teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Passion for fashion, tailoring, or luxury brands, and appreciation for bespoke customer service.
