About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst & Data Migration Lead to drive business transformation initiatives and lead enterprise-wide data migration activities. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to define business requirements, optimize business processes, and ensure successful migration of critical business data and content repositories.

This role requires a strong blend of Business Analysis, Data Migration, Stakeholder Engagement, Agile Delivery, Process Improvement, and Analytics expertise. The consultant will support digital transformation initiatives, documentation management modernization, and business process optimization while ensuring smooth data transition and adoption across the organization.

Scope of Work/Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Conduct workshops, interviews, and stakeholder consultations to elicit and document business requirements.
• Analyze current and future-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create and maintain business requirements documents, user stories, functional specifications, and process maps.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and ensure requirements are translated into technology solutions.
• Support backlog refinement and prioritization activities within Agile delivery teams.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure business requirements are successfully delivered.

Data Migration Leadership

• Lead end-to-end data migration activities including planning, profiling, mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover execution.
• Define migration strategies, governance frameworks, and data quality standards.
• Coordinate with business and technical teams to identify migration risks and mitigation approaches.
• Ensure successful migration of structured and unstructured data repositories.
• Develop migration validation and sign-off processes to ensure data integrity and completeness.

Process Improvement & Transformation

• Analyze existing business operations and recommend process enhancements.
• Develop future-state business process models and operational frameworks.
• Support organizational change initiatives and user adoption activities.
• Recommend best practices for data governance, records management, and business operations.

Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with product owners, project managers, architects, and development teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate decision-making discussions.
• Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Track project dependencies, risks, and business impacts.

Reporting & Analytics

• Gather reporting and analytics requirements from business stakeholders.
• Support dashboard development and KPI reporting initiatives.
• Leverage Power BI and related analytics tools to enhance business decision-making.

Documentation & Knowledeg Management

• Create and maintain:
• Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
• Functional Specifications
• User Stories
• Data Mapping Documents
• Process Flow Diagrams
• Test Scenarios and UAT Documentation
• Training Materials and User Guides
• Ensure all project documentation is maintained and updated throughout the engagement.

Education & Work Experience

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum, Product Ownership, Data Management, or Project Management are highly desirable.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of Business Analysis experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in business process analysis and documentation.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data migration initiatives.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams across business and technology functions.
• Experience in enterprise digital transformation programs is highly desirable
