Senior Business Analyst Banking & Lending

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Banking and Lending domain expertise to work closely with business, product, and technology stakeholders to define requirements, analyze business processes, and support the delivery of effective business solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a pragmatic, results-oriented mindset and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable business and functional requirements. The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment and collaborating across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business and technology stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and pain points.
• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable specifications for product and technology teams.
• Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, stakeholder discussions, and solution reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, developers, testers, and other technology teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support the prioritization, refinement, and clarification of requirements within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and potential impacts associated with proposed solutions.
• Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, traceable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test scenario definition, issue clarification, and validation of delivered solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes and delivery practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Must have 8–10+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, with significant experience in the Banking and Lending domain.
• Strong understanding of banking and lending operations, products, processes, and business practices.
• Proven experience in requirements engineering, business analysis, and business process modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements.
• Strong experience working with business stakeholders and technology teams to define and deliver solutions.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to structure complex information clearly and effectively.
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and results-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in Agile ceremonies.
• Ability to work effectively with business users, Product Owners, technology teams, QA/testing teams, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lending platforms, loan origination, loan servicing, credit processes, or related banking solutions.
• Experience working on digital banking, lending transformation, or process improvement initiatives.
• Experience creating process flows, business process models, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or equivalent business analysis/process modeling tools.
• Experience supporting UAT and end-to-end solution delivery.
