SENIOR BOOKKEEPER | FULL-TIME | REMOTE FROM THE PHILIPPINES

If you are a senior bookkeeper with deep MYOB expertise and a track record of owning the full accounting function independently, this role puts you at the centre of real, complex bookkeeping work for not-for-profit clients — with direct client responsibility and no hand-holding required.

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on, end-to-end bookkeeping role embedded within an established accounting and bookkeeping firm. You will take full ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations for two not-for-profit clients, managing everything from bank feeds and payroll to balance sheet reconciliation and direct client communication. The scope is genuine — this is not a data-entry support role, it is a senior seat with real accountability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own end-to-end daily accounting operations for two not-for-profit clients within MYOB Business, including bank feeds, clearing accounts, payroll flows, and transaction coding.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliation discipline and keep all financial records audit-ready at all times.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable integrity, including invoicing, payment processing, and debtor management.
• Reconcile Stripe transactions and allocate job codes accurately across all costs to ensure precise cost tracking within MYOB.
• Process payroll end-to-end using MYOB Payroll, meeting all associated compliance obligations accurately and on time.
• Communicate directly with clients via Microsoft Teams calls and email, acting as the primary finance contact on their behalf.
• Participate in the daily morning team huddle, reporting on the previous day's work and your plan for the day ahead.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Proven, hands-on expertise in MYOB Business — including bank feeds, clearing accounts, payroll flows, transaction coding, and balance sheet reconciliation — and the ability to walk through your processes in detail.
• Demonstrated experience with MYOB Payroll, including end-to-end payroll processing and compliance obligations.
• A minimum of five years of bookkeeping experience with a clear track record of operating independently at a senior level.
• Experience working within an accounting or bookkeeping firm, not solely in an in-house corporate environment.
• Solid knowledge of Australian bookkeeping and accounting standards, including familiarity with Australian compliance obligations.
• Proven client-facing experience, including direct professional communication with clients via phone and email.
