Job Description

About the Role

Boogie Team is hiring an experienced Accountant to support a fast-growing U.S.-based customer acquisition company serving the home improvement industry.

This will be the company's first full-time finance hire, making it a high-ownership role for someone who can manage accounting, billing, collections, and financial reporting from end to end. You will work closely with the COO and help build reliable finance processes as the business continues to grow.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, confident communicating with U.S. clients, and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client invoicing across management fees, advertising spend, pay-per-lead, and pay-per-appointment billing.
  • Reconcile lead and appointment data against invoices to prevent billing errors, overbilling, or revenue leakage.
  • Monitor client payments, advertising budgets, accounts receivable, and aging balances.
  • Handle collections through professional reminders, follow-up calls, and escalation when necessary.
  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online, including categorization, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Prepare accurate profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and monthly financial reports with clear commentary.
  • Process accounts payable, payroll, contractor payments, recurring billing, and Stripe transactions.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience, preferably within an agency, professional services, or startup environment.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and working knowledge of Stripe.
  • Hands-on experience managing accounts receivable, client billing, and collections.
  • Comfortable speaking with U.S.-based clients and accounting departments by phone and email.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Able to work independently, develop processes, and operate effectively without an established playbook.
  • Reliable availability during U.S. Pacific business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting performance marketing, digital advertising, lead-generation, or media-buying companies.
  • Familiarity with payroll platforms and contractor payment systems.
  • Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple entities.
  • Experience supporting annual tax preparation and working with an external CPA.
