Job Description

Senior Bookkeeper

Salary Range: $866 to $1,213 per month

Join a relaunching furniture staging business that helps multifamily properties, rental units, and renovation projects become more marketable through professionally furnished spaces. Take meaningful ownership of the company's accounting foundation while combining hands-on bookkeeping, inventory and job-cost accounting, profitability analysis, and cash-flow forecasting to help operators make informed financial decisions.

What You'll Do:

  • Set up the company's books and help establish accounting processes from scratch.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including issuing invoices, recording payments, applying incoming wires, and tracking outstanding balances.
  • Record and categorize credit card and other business expenses into the proper accounts.
  • Track furniture and other inventory as items are purchased, rented, moved between projects, and returned.
  • Perform job-level cost accounting by tracking furniture, labor, and other direct costs associated with each project.
  • Calculate project profitability, including gross profit and estimated net profit after allocating general business expenses.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, including sales, balance sheet, margin, and open-invoice reporting.
  • Build cash-flow projections based on expected sales, purchasing needs, customer payment timing, and historical financial performance.

Who You'll Work With:

Be an integral part of a growing furniture staging business, working closely with its operators to build reliable accounting processes, maintain clear financial visibility, and provide the profitability and cash-flow insights needed to support projects and business growth.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Accounting Experience: Strong full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience, including AR, AP, reconciliations, invoicing, expense categorization, and financial reporting.
  • Accounting Education: An accounting-related degree, CPA, MBA, or comparable accounting or finance qualification is required.
  • QuickBooks: Highly comfortable managing bookkeeping and accounting processes in QuickBooks.
  • Independent: Able to manage the books with minimal guidance, take ownership of accounting responsibilities, and stay on top of required tasks without constant follow-up.
  • Inventory Accounting: Experience tracking inventory purchases, movement, and costs is preferred.
  • Cost Accounting: Able to learn to identify and allocate project costs, including inventory, labor, and overhead, to determine gross and net profitability by project.
  • Financial Analysis: Strong spreadsheet skills and the ability to analyze historical financial data, prepare reports, and build cash-flow and operational projections.

Why Join Us

  • Impact: Play a central role in building the company's financial processes and providing the accounting and profitability insights that support stronger operational decisions.
  • Culture: Join a hands-on, growing business that values accuracy, independent problem-solving, financial visibility, and practical analysis.
  • Benefits:
  • Enjoy preset salary growth and weekly salary payments.
  • 100% work-from-home flexibility.
