Role description:
The role supports BIM Team Leads and Technicians in delivering projects on time and to quality standards by managing three key stages of drawing work—set‑up, production, and submission. It involves leading the team in drawing production and implementing standards as directed by project leaders, providing guidance on emerging CAD/Civil3D technologies, and driving process improvements through research, application, and data integration.
Role accountabilities:
- Coordinate drawing documentation across disciplines, ensuring alignment with Arcadis standards.
- Liaise with engineers to identify and resolve design errors or clashes during production.
- Oversee project workflow, delegate tasks to BIM Technicians, and mentor junior team members.
- Support engineers with drawing standards and AutoCAD/Civil3D usage.
- Assist in drawing set‑up, including sheet layouts, X‑references, and verification of title‑sheet information.
- Manage drawing production by coordinating models/outputs, cleaning architectural drawings, and ensuring standards compliance.
- Oversee and manage drawing/model data to ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple disciplines.
- Conduct quality checks on Civil3D models and drawings, review outputs, and prepare DWG/PDF files for submission.
- Ensure eCAD files are thoroughly cleaned and reviewed before issuing them upon project manager request.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience with AutoCAD or Civil3D. Experience in the use of the Dynamo is advantage.
- Job experience in design consulting firm is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Application (word, excel, outlook)
- Overseas Experience is advantage (work in other countries or project design out-sourcing company)
