Key Responsibilities
- Quality Guardianship: Oversee the daily calibration of espresso and filter programs, ensuring every cup meets our rigorous Gold Standard for extraction and flavor profile.
- Artistry in Motion: Execute advanced latte art and precision pouring, maintaining a visual standard that is camera-ready for the Bench lifestyle.
- Mentorship & Culture: Act as the lead educator for junior baristas, fostering a culture of continuous learning, sensory development, and pride in the craft.
- The Guest Journey: Elevate the counter experience by sharing deep knowledge of bean origins, processing methods, and tasting notes with our discerning clientele.
- Operational Elegance: Maintain a seamless flow behind the bar, managing inventory and equipment maintenance with meticulous attention to detail.
Talent Profile:
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in a specialty coffee environment, with a proven track record of consistency under pressure.
- The Palate: A refined sensory ability to identify flavor defects and dial in complex roast profiles.
- Leadership: A natural mentor who leads by example, possessing the emotional intelligence to manage a fast-paced team environment.
- The Aesthetic: An appreciation for the Bench brand—polished, professional, and deeply rooted in Filipino hospitality.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with high-end machinery (e.g., La Marzocco, Victoria Arduino) and a deep understanding of brew ratios and TDS.
