Job Description

Description:

  • Own and manage the end-to-end statutory financial reporting process, including preparation, review, and finalization of statutory accounts, ensuring timely submission in line with RELX-imposed deadlines and local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the annual external audit process, acting as the primary liaison between auditors and internal teams, and ensure all audit deliverables and supporting documentation are completed with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain deep expertise in IFRS and relevant local GAAP, ensuring compliance in all financial reporting, and provide technical accounting guidance to finance teams.
  • Continuously identify, evaluate, and implement improvements in financial reporting processes, controls, and systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Lead the financial review and analysis of complex transactions and account balances, including balance sheet reconciliations, with an ability to explain variances and trends to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with global finance teams, shared service centers, and business unit finance leads to ensure alignment and consistency in financial practices and reporting.
  • Support tax, treasury, and compliance teams with accurate financial data and documentation for regulatory, statistical, and tax reporting.
  • Assess and communicate operational and project-related risks, offering actionable solutions and mitigation strategies to senior finance management.
  • Mentor and provide technical support to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development across the team

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with Finance concentration

CPA is preferred

Experience in medium to large company environment. BPO/Finance Shared Service experience is preferred

With 4-6 years work experience (external and internal audit)

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Excellent Excel skills

Experience with major enterprise accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP or PeopleSoft
