Job Description

The team is responsible for ensuring the audit and assurance service lines are provided with the relevant resources to achieve quality outcomes on all engagements undertaken by the service line. The team consists of five pillars that support achieving quality outcomes on engagements as part of the overall system of quality management:

•     Audit methodology

•     Assurance

•     Innovation and technologies

•     Learning and development

•     Monitoring and remediation.

  • Demonstrated capability in instructional design and adult learning principles (e.g. needs analysis, learning objectives, assessment design)
  • Experience developing learning content across multiple formats (e‑learning, facilitator‑led sessions, workshops, job aids, micro‑learning)
  • Ability to translate complex technical and audit methodology content into clear, practical learning materials
  • Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) and learning analytics to monitor participation, completion and effectiveness
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including working with subject matter experts to design and refine learning content
  • Understanding of regulatory and professional learning requirements relevant to audit and assurance professionals

 

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support in the maintenance of resources, guidance, policies, and procedures

• Maintain libraries of tools and templates to support engagement teams, promoting audit quality and efficiency

• Perform testing procedures on library tests and audit software to support quality outcomes on engagements

• Apply a sound base of technical knowledge in the authoring and/or maintenance of audit quality resources

• Contribute to the implementation of ongoing quality initiatives

• Directly assist team members in the effective execution of monitoring and remediation processes, including inspection programs and compliance monitoring activities

• Assist with monitoring and reporting on learning activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of learning content to support audit quality initiatives

• Apply instructional design principles to ensure learning materials are engaging, practical, and aligned with adult learning best practices

• Support the translation of audit methodology, standards, and quality findings into structured learning interventions and guidance

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure learning content is technically accurate and fit for purpose

• Assist in the review and continuous improvement of learning materials based on feedback, monitoring outcomes, and inspection findings

Qualifications

  • CA / CPA qualified with membership of the relevant body
  • Experience of delivering audit and other assurance services to clients
  • Sufficient knowledge of technical standards including ISAs, IASBs and IESBA Code of Ethics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven technical labilities & demonstrated experience in successfully managing
  • Strong analytical & conceptual skills and the ability to think laterally
  • Ability to manage a variety of complex tasks and work independently
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience contributing to learning and development initiatives within a professional services or audit environment
  • Demonstrated ability to design or support learning programs that drive capability uplift and behavioural change
  • Exposure to learning evaluation techniques (e.g. feedback analysis, effectiveness reviews) is desirable
