Job Title:Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Ortigas, Pasig, PH
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Hybrid | 3x Onsite, 2x WFH)
The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and delivering accurate and timely financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and analysis across the dental practices and Group. The role will play a key part in month-end close, management reporting, statutory compliance, and financial planning, while providing technical accounting support and contributing to process improvements.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, Australian commercial accounting experience, and extensive hands-on experience with NetSuite.
Job Scope and Responsibility:
- Oversee day-to-day financial accounting activities, including account reconciliations, accounts payable, and the collection and allocation of funds from dental service providers.
- Lead the month-end close process and ensure all financial accounts are accurately reconciled and finalised within required timelines.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and graphical reports for each dental practice and at a Group level for Board reporting.
- Analyse financial results, identify key variances and trends, and provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and support the accurate and timely lodgement of BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, tax legislation, and ASIC requirements.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and other professional advisors as required.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and review accounting treatments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review financial processes and controls and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.
- Contribute to finance transformation, process improvement, and systems integration projects, including optimisation of NetSuite.
- Provide guidance and support to junior and intermediate finance team members and review work where required.
- Support senior management and the Board with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and commercial insights.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA/CA qualified or actively working towards CPA/CA qualification.
- Minimum +5 years of relevant AU accounting experience, with strong Australian commercial accounting experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of hands-on NetSuite experience is essential.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of AASB and Australian financial reporting requirements.
- Strong understanding of Australian tax compliance, including BAS, PAYG, and payroll tax.
- Proven experience with month-end close, management reporting, financial analysis, and reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills, with strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
- High attention to detail with strong financial controls and quality assurance mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with management, external advisors, and operational teams.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and contribute to finance systems and automation initiatives.
