Qualifications
- Must be a Philippine Lawyer
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Business, Legal Management or a related field is preferred
- Open to fresh bar passers
- Relevant legal experience in a law firm, professional services firm, or corporate legal environment is an advantage
- Experience in contract review, corporate governance, compliance, litigation, labor disputes, data privacy, regulatory matters, or related practice areas is an advantage
- Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, legal research platforms, and other approved legal-technology tools.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate, you will work with the Office of the General Counsel to support the firm's legal and compliance requirements. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on corporate, commercial, regulatory, labor, data privacy, intellectual property, and risk management matters
- Draft, review, negotiate, and monitor contracts, agreements, non-disclosure agreements, engagement-related documents, board and corporate documents, legal memoranda, opinions, executive advice, regulatory submissions, and other legal instruments
- Identify material legal and business risks, available options, recommended safeguards, residual risks, and required actions
- Support the firm's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and PwC network policies
- Conduct legal research and provide practical recommendations to address complex legal and business issues
- Assist in managing disputes, claims, investigations, and regulatory inquiries, coordinating with external counsel when necessary
- Review and assess legal risks related to client engagements, vendor arrangements, strategic initiatives, and operational activities
- Support corporate governance requirements, including board resolutions, corporate filings, and maintenance of legal records
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on potential business impacts
- Deliver guidance and training to internal teams on legal, compliance, and ethical matters
- Collaborate with Risk & Quality, Human Capital, Independence, Tax, Deals, and other internal teams on firm-wide initiatives and projects
- Guide Associates and other junior team members
