Role Description The Senior Associate Lawyer will handle complex legal matters, provide strategic advice, and lead or support client engagements across corporate, commercial, and litigation practice areas. Day-to-day work includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents, preparing legal opinions and memoranda, and representing clients before courts, tribunals, and regulatory agencies. The role involves managing case files, supervising junior lawyers and support staff, and coordinating closely with clients to develop practical, business-oriented solutions. The Senior Associate will also contribute to legal research, knowledge development, and internal process improvements, including the use of legal technology tools. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati.

Qualifications

  • Licensed lawyer with at least 2 year PQE, in good standing,
  • With solid experience or corporate and commercial law, including contract drafting, negotiation, and regulatory compliance or proven background in litigation and dispute resolution, including case strategy, pleadings preparation, court and agency representation, and client advocacy.
  • Experience or strong interest in specialized practice areas such as intellectual property, technology, taxation, customs, real estate, labor, and immigration law is a plus

  • Advanced legal research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, well-reasoned opinions, memoranda, and client advisories.
  • Strong client-facing skills, including the ability to build relationships, understand commercial objectives, and provide practical, solution-oriented advice.
  • Leadership capabilities, including mentoring juniors, managing workloads, collaborating within teams, and maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
  • Comfort with legal technology, document management systems, and productivity tools; openness to innovation in legal service delivery.
