The Distribution Analytics team under Finance is responsible for the administration, optimization, and strategic development of the firm's Salesforce platform. Serving as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical solutions, the team ensures that Salesforce effectively supports core business processes, particularly across Sales, Client Management, and Operations functions.
The team operates within a highly customized Salesforce environment tailored to the firm's workflows and regulatory requirements. Over time, the platform has evolved into a central system of records for client data, pipeline tracking, and business activity monitoring. The Salesforce team plays a key role in maintaining system integrity while continuously enhancing functionality to meet changing business needs.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Platform Administration: Manage user access, roles, profiles, and system configurations to ensure security and usability, Act as Point of Contact for Salesforce-related matters and concerns from both onshore and offshore teams within and outside of Business Development
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate new features and enhancements to confirm that delivered solutions meet functional and business requirements.
- Business Analysis & Solution Design: Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and translate business needs into Salesforce capabilities.
- Data Management & Governance: Maintain data quality, implement data standards, and oversee data integrations and migrations.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.
- Helpdesk & Ticket Resolution: Monitor and manage incoming support tickets, troubleshoot basic Salesforce issues, resolve user requests, and escalate more complex cases as needed.
- Support & Training: Provide end-user support, documentation, and training to drive adoption and effective system use.
- Any other related processes required onshore and offshore
Requirements
Qualification:
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including standard objects, configurations, and declarative tools (Flows, validation rules, etc.).
- Proven experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect management.
- Ability to translate business requirements into structured test scenarios and validate outcomes against expected results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying defects and edge cases.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments, collaborating with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams.
- Solid understanding of data integrity principles and the impact of system changes on upstream/downstream processes.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to document test results clearly, issues, and recommendations.
- Experience with helpdesk or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk) and handling user requests or incident resolution is preferred.
- Experience with data management platforms like Demand Tools by Validity, and software like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar for test and defect tracking is preferred.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator) or equivalent practical experience is a plus.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience in Salesforce administration, business systems analysis, or UAT coordination may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- Coursework or training in data management, software development lifecycle (SDLC), or quality assurance/testing is preferred.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator) or relevant professional certifications in QA/testing are a plus
- Experience driving process reviews and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues, operational gaps, ticket trends, and opportunities to streamline workflows, improve triaging and escalation processes, and enhance overall user experience.
