TAG Consultancy is a Gibraltar based firm known for local expertise, strong compliance capabilities, and agile, end-to-end service delivery. We support a broad range of clients across sectors, including smaller financial services companies.

You will own the end-to-end fund accounting cycle for a portfolio of alternative investment funds (e.g., private equity, venture, real estate and Crypto). You'll compile and review complex NAVs and financial statements, liaise with clients and third parties, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting under GIB/UK GAAP & IFRS standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• NAV production & review: Prepare/review monthly/quarterly NAVs, including pricing, expense accruals, management/performance fees, and investor allocations; investigate variances and sign off to deadlines.
• Financial statements: Draft and review annual/interim financials with supporting workpapers under FRS 102 (UK GAAP); coordinate external audit and respond to auditor queries.
• Capital activity: Process and review capital calls, distributions, equalisations, FX and interest; maintain waterfall models and commitment tracking; reconcile partner capital.
• Cash, position & trade reconciliations: Daily/periodic reconciliations to custodians, brokers, administrators, and bank accounts; resolve breaks with counterparties.
• Crypto fund accounting: on-chain wallet and exchange tie-outs, custody and cold-storage verification, staking and yield tracking, network fee capture, and treatment of token events and airdrops.
• Client service & governance: Assist in preparing KPI packs, board materials, and variance analysis; escalate issues promptly.
• Process improvement & systems: Drive automation and standardisation across close processes; contribute to onboarding of new funds and transitions; champion best practice in fund accounting systems .

Qualifications:

• 47+ years relevant experience in fund accounting (administrator, GP finance team, or Big 4 experience).
• Strong technical grounding in IFRS and/or UK/Gib GAAP for investment funds; comfort with complex fee, carry, and waterfall mechanics.
• Proven track record producing/reviewing NAVs and financial statements to tight deadlines, with clean audit outcomes.
• Professional qualification (or finalist): ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
• Advanced Excel; familiarity with one or more fund accounting platforms (e.g., eFront, Investran, Yardi, Paxus, Geneva) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problemsolving, and time management skills
