Job Description
Position Overview
The Corporate Actions specialist within the Global Markets Function will be responsible for facilitating securities services for Corporate and Institutional clients. The role focuses on the end-to-end lifecycle of Corporate Actions (Mandatory, Mandatory with Options, and Voluntary) across a global scope. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient management of event announcements, scrubbing, notifications, and the accurate booking of outcomes in the bank's recording systems, while maintaining strict controls to mitigate operational and reputational risk.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct CA Processing: Execute the full lifecycle of Mandatory, Mandatory with Options, and Voluntary Corporate Actions, including Event Capture, Notification, Income/Mandatory processing, Election Management, Booking of Outcomes, Claims Management, and Reconciliations.
- System Management & Scrubbing: Perform scrubbing and setup of Corporate Actions in operating systems (e.g., Picasso) and monitor all reliefs to identify eligible global positions (Settled/Pending trades, SLAB).
- Event Monitoring: Follow up on event announcements, forecasts, and deadlines to ensure efficient management regarding bookings in general books and recording systems (e.g., Calypso, Power, Picasso).
- Election Management: Manage the election process for voluntary events by coordinating with internal support functions and compiling aggregated instructions for agents/custodians.
- Financial Control: Perform strict follow-up of expected proceeds/results on payment dates and conduct controls regarding theoretical bookings and forecast assumptions to prevent reconciliation breaks.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide regular reports to hierarchy and proactively participate in recurrent meetings (morning/weekly).
- Risk & Compliance: Adhere to all Compliance rules and procedures to mitigate operational or reputational risk; escalate operational risks immediately and monitor market risks (e.g., buy-ins).
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong working relationships with domestic agents/custodians and collaborate effectively with other operational departments.
Required Education, Skills and Experience (Must Have)
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 3+ years of direct experience in Corporate Actions.
- Shift Requirement: Must be able to work the APAC Shift.
- Language: Must be fluent in English.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Excel and a strong knowledge of financial markets and products.

- Ability to follow set procedures and Compliance policies diligently.
- High level of risk awareness.
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience (Nice to Have)
- Experience with specific industry tools such as Picasso, Calypso, or Power.
- Proven ability to work flexibly within a changing international environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-cultural stakeholder relationships.
- Advanced expertise in dealing with complex cross-asset platforms and structured solutions.
