The Senior Area Manager is responsible for driving overall sales performance through the recruitment, management, and development of Financial Sales Associates within the assigned area. At Level 6, the role extends beyond area execution to include leadership of leaders, ownership of regional initiatives, and deputized leadership responsibilities, supporting regional strategy, capability building, and organizational continuity.
The Senior Area Manager reports directly to the Regional Sales Head. The Senior Area Manager operates as a key leverage role within the region-amplifying leadership capacity, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring readiness for both growth and succession. The role serves as a critical feeder and successor pool for higher regional leadership positions.
Position Responsibilities:
Sales Performance and Area Management
Deliver sales production targets in terms of parameters set by the company for his area of assignment.
Ensure that Financial Sales Associates in the area deliver Minimum Validation Requirement set by the company.
In charge of the Financial Sales Associate recruitment activities within the area to ensure 100% Financial Sales Associate complement within the area.
Manage relationship within China Bank branch officers and staff and the Area Head of the designated Area.
Assist the Financial Sales Associates in gathering and converting Qualified Sales Leads within the branches in the area in order to achieve 100% branch activation.
Manage all the sales related activities of the Financial Sales Associates within the designated area through monitoring and activity management system.
Develop the selling skills and professional knowledge of each Financial Sales Associates in the area through joint field work, coaching, and training.
Generate and submit all reports requested by management timely and accurately.
Works with the Regional Sales Head to co-develop strategy for the region and co-drive all initiatives and own a project initiatives for the region.
Leadership of Leaders (Indirect Influence)
Serve as a coach and mentor to Area Managers (where applicable) and identified high-potential FSAs.
Lead capability-building initiatives within the area or region, including sales effectiveness, recruiting quality, onboarding excellence, and productivity uplift.
Be accountable for succession readiness, identifying bench strength and development needs to ensure continuity of leadership within the area.
Regional Initiative Ownership
Own and lead regional initiatives, pilots, or projects (e.g., new recruitment models, branch activation programs, productivity drives).
Be accountable for initiative outcomes and impact, not merely participation or execution support.
Act as a change champion, driving adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working across the area in alignment with regional and enterprise priorities.
Deputy / Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Responsibilities
Formally act as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) in the absence of the Regional Sales Head, ensuring uninterrupted leadership and decision-making.
Represent the region in management discussions, alignment sessions, and cross-functional coordination meetings as required.
Make time-bound, judgment-based decisions affecting people management, sales targets, priorities, and operational direction within delegated authority.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a College graduate from a reputable uni versity.
At least five (5) years of experience in a sales management role.
Has capability to support the Regional Sales Head and has the capacity to be an OIC.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Tools (Word and Excel).
Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience in bancassurance sales is highly preferred for this position but those with sales and customer service experience gained from banking, transport, pharmaceutical, pre-need, hospitality and IT industries are also encouraged to apply.
