Job Summary
We are looking for an Application Support Specialist to help maintain stable and reliable business application services. This role focuses on resolving production issues, supporting application releases, and improving operational processes. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with databases, cloud environments, and CI/CD pipelines, and can coordinate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure stable business application operations by investigating and resolving issues within agreed timelines.
Support the deployment and transition of application features from development to production environments.
Identify opportunities to improve application support processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in automating manual tasks to improve efficiency and consistency in service delivery.
Communicate clearly with stakeholders during incident and problem management activities.
Manage and coordinate escalations related to operational concerns.
Support release management activities and ensure smooth execution of deployment schedules.
Maintain documentation of incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures.
Required Skills And Experience
Strong experience working with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Python is an advantage.
Experience in incident and problem management processes.
Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
Experience working in agile delivery environments, with exposure to release management and engineering practices.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Willingness to work on a midshift schedule.
Willingness to work in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite per week).
