Role Description
We are seeking Senior and Principal Electrical Design Engineers for a full-time, on-site role located in Quezon City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing electrical systems for complex engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role demands strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven track record in delivering high-quality electrical designs.
furthermore, this role will lead a team of junior engineers and designers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and oversight to ensure accurate and efficient project deliverables. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative and innovative design environment, implementing best practices, and maintaining the firm's standard of technical excellence across all projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the running of large projects
- Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical or Electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.(Several building types)
- Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes
- Surveys, tests, carries out dilapidation reports on existing electrical/mechanical installations
- Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements
- Day to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with and provides advice to client
- Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams
- Ensures engineering calculations and drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards
- Leads on the coordination of engineering services
- Takes a holistic view in the selection and application of engineering concepts and solutions
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Preferably 7-10 years of experience within a multi-disciplinary design consulting firm
- Experience handling large-scale projects; data centre design experience is an advantage.
- Proficient in designing electrical systems, including LV power systems, lighting, FDAS, earthing & lightning protection, and ELV systems (security, telecom/data systems)
- Knowledgeable in design software such as Dialux, Amtech, ETAP, Navis, Bluebeam, or equivalent
- Familiarity with the application of British Standards in electrical design is preferred but not required
- Experience with MV power systems is an advantage but not mandatory
- Strong team player with experience mentoring or supervising junior/graduate engineers.
