Job Description

The role is responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain product flow to meet customer requirements. This includes scheduling procurement and manufacturing activities for an assigned product group and reviewing key material flow parameterssuch as order quantities, lot sizes, cycle frequencies, and replenishment intervalsto recommend optimal levels that support business and customer needs.

The position also manages raw material and semi-finished goods inventory buffers, monitors capacity requirements, and tracks service levels for both special and stock orders. In addition, the role continuously enhances planning and scheduling processes, identifying opportunities to improve customer service, reduce inventory investment, and increase overall supply chain efficiency, and actively contributes to the implementation of these improvements.

The supervisor provides guidance as needed and is consulted on complex issues or major adjustments to supply chain parameters.

The selected candidate will be reporting to the 3M GSC Philippines office.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operational & Technical Expertise
  • Handle multiple inquiries and develop solutions for simple to complex purchase requisition tasks for assigned countries, regions, or areas.
  • Convert purchase requisitions (PR) to purchase orders (PO) in SAP and Legacy systems, including troubleshooting PR-to-PO issues.
  • Monitor open POs, including manual purchase order acknowledgments (POA), delivery follow-ups, and expediting delayed shipments.
  • Coordinate with vendors on PO deliveries and make PO changes (quantities, delivery dates).
  • Resolve moderate to complex exceptions and manage inquiries from suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Forecasting & Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market insights, and trends.
  • Create and manage production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and operational capabilities.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to address demand shifts, supply chain disruptions, or operational challenges.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by overseeing the end-to-end forecasting and scheduling process.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Follow defined procedures and ensure compliance with internal Forecast-to-Schedule rules, SOX controls, and audit requirements.
  • Assist with resolution of audit queries.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
  • Analyze data to support forecasting accuracy, sourcing decisions, reporting, and operational improvements.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, automation, and compliance.
  • Apply intermediate analytical skills to identify trends and support short-term planning.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance Management
  • Identify process gaps, recommend solutions, and contribute to improvements in tools, automation, and workflows.
  • Participate and occasionally lead projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, professional standards, internal business rules, and ethical guidelines.
  • Assist with resolving audit queries and supporting pre-/post-deployment activities.
  • Follow established procedures and ensure adherence to Forecast-to-Schedule rules, corporate policies, SOX controls, and audit requirements.
  • Resolve simple to moderately complex exceptions within defined guidelines and meet SLA targets.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams through email, meetings, or calls with accuracy and critical thinking.
  • Primary interactions are with internal teams at professional, supervisory, or peer levels, focusing on subject-matter discussions.
  • Prepare and deliver clear reports and relevant analytics to support decision-making.
  • Leadership, Coaching & Continuous Improvement
  • Provide guidance or training for new hires and junior team members on moderately complex tasks.
  • Participate in transition preparation and deployment support activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement projects and support transition activities or system deployments.
  • Professionalism, Work Flexibility & Autonomy, Decision-Making
  • Work independently under limited supervision; consult the supervisor for complex issues.
  • Make decisions requiring adaptation to circumstances, impacting operational effectiveness, schedules, and performance goals.
  • Apply sourcing theories and practices; mentor or guide new hires or lower-level colleagues on moderately complex tasks.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule (APAC, EMEA, USAC) and task assignments based on business needs.
  • Amenable to render overtime to complete urgent tasks.
  • Administrative & Operational Support
  • Complete assigned tasks within SLA targets; follow up on delays and coordinate required actions.
  • Perform additional administrative duties and tasks assigned by the Team Leader or Operations Manager.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for Forecast-to-Schedule processes when needed.
  • Generate simple reports and analytics directly related to the function.
  • Follow all corporate standards and guidelines

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex data sets and learn quickly.
  • High attention to detail with solid experience working on operational processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools; knowledge of ERP/SAP, FTS tools, or other relevant applications is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in additional Asian languages is an advantage.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks and manage workloads in a structured, efficient manner.
  • Proven ability to train or guide individuals.
  • Experience working across diverse organizations, countries, or business processes is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Supply Chain or related functional areas.
  • 12 years of experience in FTS transactional activities, or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain; experience in Pricing is an advantage.
  • Experience in forecasting, scheduling, or other analytical roles.
  • Familiarity with sourcing principles.
  • Knowledge of ERP/SAP and FTS tools; prior hands-on SAP experience is an advantage.
