What is your mission
We are looking for a Senior Generative AI Engineer to design, build, test, deploy, and optimise enterprise-grade Generative AI applications and intelligent agents on Google Cloud Platform. The role focuses on Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), Gemini, Vertex AI, RAG solutions, agent orchestration, API integrations, data pipelines, and cloud-native AI deployments while ensuring secure, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Generative AI applications and intelligent agents on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Build and maintain single-agent and multi-agent solutions using Google Agent Development Kit (ADK).
- Integrate Gemini models with enterprise systems, databases, APIs, applications, and business workflows.
- Deploy AI applications using Agent Engine, Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Functions, and other GCP services.
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Vertex AI Vector Search, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Document AI, and related cloud services.
- Develop and manage APIs, microservices, agent tools, MCP integrations, and event-driven workflows.
- Build scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, chunking, embedding, indexing, and retrieval of structured and unstructured data.
- Implement agent capabilities including session management, memory, tool calling, human approval workflows, and orchestration patterns.
- Establish automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, logging, tracing, evaluation frameworks, and cost optimisation practices.
- Implement secure cloud architectures using IAM, Service Accounts, Workload Identity Federation, Secret Manager, and private networking.
- Troubleshoot issues across AI agents, models, APIs, integrations, deployments, and data pipelines.
- Produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, API specifications, operational procedures, and solution designs.
- Lead technical workstreams and conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders during discovery, architecture design, testing, deployment, and knowledge transfer engagements.
- Evaluate and optimise AI solutions for scalability, reliability, security, latency, performance, and cost efficiency.
Who are we looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Significant professional experience developing and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Advanced experience in Python software development.
- Experience delivering client-facing technology consulting or cloud transformation projects.
- Proven experience leading technical workstreams from discovery through production deployment.
- Hands-on experience building Generative AI, LLM, or agentic AI applications.
- Strong expertise with Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), including agents, tools, workflows, sessions, state management, and multi-agent architectures.
- Experience integrating Gemini models using Vertex AI or Google Gen AI SDKs.
- Experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
- Expertise in Google Cloud native application development and cloud architecture.
- Strong experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
- Experience building and deploying solutions using Agent Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, or similar GCP runtimes.
- Experience with BigQuery, cloud data services, SQL databases, document stores, object storage platforms, embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases.
- Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and enterprise AI integrations.
- Experience implementing Vertex AI Vector Search, BigQuery Vector Search, Document AI, Pub/Sub, Eventarc, Workflows, Apigee, or similar services.
- Experience developing MCP servers, custom agent tools, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong knowledge of IAM, service accounts, Secret Manager, networking, logging, monitoring, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with Git, automated testing frameworks, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
- Experience using Terraform, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience implementing AI evaluation frameworks, agent testing, observability, guardrails, and cost monitoring.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs involving quality, security, scalability, latency, reliability, and cost.
- Relevant Google Cloud Certifications are highly preferred.
- Strong English communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
