Your impact
Jacobs Philippines is looking for a Senior Accounting Supervisor who will supervise accounting services in the organization, and provide support to Finance Manager and Assistant Accounting Manager, line of business and other corporate functions of Jacobs Projects Philippines.
Other Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To The Following
- Review and guide GL team on AP journals and related withholding tax compliance
- Assist to Assistant Accounting Manager in supplying accurate data for monthly and quarterly WHT, VAT and SLP tax filings. Follow up with vendors for BIR form 2307
- Check all AP entries in Oracle and scrutinize inappropriate or overdue invoices
- Work with Jacobs tax team and external tax service provider for tax audit requested by BIR (LOA)
- Implement controls to ensure tax compliance with BIR requirements
- Active involvement in assisting annual financial audits. Coordinate with the auditors, external service provider and Jacobs teams for related audit activities
- Perform account reconciliations, review and analysis as part of the monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Close process. Ensure completeness and accuracy of journal entries at month end closing. Make sure balances on Balance Sheet are 100% supported by valid documents and approval
- Ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations with regards to external reporting – Accounting, Taxation and other related business and commercial requirements
Here's what you'll need
Experience And Professional Qualifications Required
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related major
- Must be a CPA or equivalent
- 8 years in accounting profession, with at least 2 years in supervisory role
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, team player and good communication skills
- Hands-on supervisor with a willingness to be involved in all aspects of the business
- Self motivated to drive for success and deliver results
- Ability to manage tasks within tight timeframe and prioritize based on mission and values
- Working knowledge of Oracle and Concur will be a plus
