Job Description

Required Skills:

Effective people management skills.

Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and proper recording of financial and/or

regulatory transactions.

Adept in general ledger accounts and dictionaries

Extensive experience in accounting functions, e.g., bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and

accounts payable monitoring, bookkeeping functions, financial statements, schedule preparation,

as well as auditing.

Ability to identify gaps and issues, as well as development of initiatives and solutions for

recommendation.

Ability to explain significant variances, fluctuations and monitors client profitability.

Ability to handle critical and confidential documents.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Computer and internet savvy.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists and guides associates in regular accounting functions such as bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable monitoring and bookkeeping functions.

2. Oversees period accounting, report maintenance, accounts reconciliation, adjustments and responsible in the analysis, interpretation and preparation of financial and accounting reports to bring more value to clients

3. Prepares detailed process documentation and facilitates transfer of information as well as transition of processes to new team members.

4. Gathers and interprets diverse source documents to ensure proper accounting and understands why a particular accounting procedure is necessary.

5. Monitors transfer of information as well as transition of processes to new team members.

6. Strives to understand the business process risk and controls given a certain industry. Interacts with clients in the resolution of issues and discussions of the process improvements.

7. Ensures accurate and timely delivery of services to client in accordance with Service Level Agreements as well as strict compliance with MontPac's operational control guidelines.

8. Handles complex, non-routine and technical accounting tasks beyond the associates knowledge and skill level.

9. Adheres to and strictly complies with the Company's operational control guidelines (e.g. MontPac way, MontPac Reporting Standards).

10. Manages individual and team workload and leads and motivates team members to achieve targets and deadlines, performs periodic reviews of performance of staff under supervision and provide necessary recommendations to management

11. Participates in the evaluation, formulation and implementation of new processes to improve team productivity and efficiency and overall client service experience

12. Ensures successful migration and implementation of new clients.

13. Leads on-boarding of new clients, migration of accounting records and transition of accounting responsibilities

14. Takes ownership/accountability of client accounts handled through supervision of subordinates on the following functions and timely coordinating reports, recommendations, feedback, etc., to Team Leader and higher management.

a. Financial statement analysis

b. Apply accounting and system knowledge to complex and unusual accounting transactions and issues

c. Ability to act as the Client's Controller in raising red flag issues

d. Understand the Client's complex business and peculiar needs in recommending solutions to issues.

e. Identification and proposal of process improvements.

15. Ensures proper and timely communication with clients including follow-ups of client deliverables

(e.g. e-mails, conference calls, etc.).

16. Manages client communication to maintain good relationship and ensure that all queries and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

17. Prepares client time budgets and ensures client profitability. Reviews client billings, identifies out of-scope work and suggests separate billings and/or rate increases.

18. Disseminates knowledge acquired and best practices noted to all personnel to enhance

productivity and efficiency (e.g. tax/payroll filings for US and Local Authorities, applications of online user ID for vendors and customers).

19. Identifies gaps, develops recommendations, management initiatives and solutions in order to help management assess client service experience and improve client satisfaction and loyalty.

20. Identifies and communicates issues and exceptions with the management team and other team members and recommends/proposes appropriate action plans to address the issues and prevent recurrence of errors, if any.

21. Acts as the head of the team in the absence of the higher management line, within the guidelines and limitations of scope and authority.

22. Performs other tasks assigned by the management through trust and confidence.

Leadership:

1. Recruitment

a. Assists in developing the hiring criteria for operations.

b. Reviews qualifications and conducts interview of applicants.

2. People Management

a. Introduces MontPac and its purpose to team members for better understanding of the business.

b. Initiates and develops the learn, grow and have fun culture of MontPac to ensure sense of belonging within the team and the organization.

c. Advocates for the MontPac Core Values to ensure alignment within the team and the

organization.

d. Guides subordinates in adhering to company policies, procedures and practices.

e. Makes recommendation for hiring, firing and promotion of subordinates.

3. Performance Management

a. Trains, coaches and mentors subordinates whenever necessary, to ensure quality of

performance.

b. Reviews subordinates performance periodically and makes necessary recommendations in terms of salary increase and promotion.
