Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee complex US GAAP accounting matters, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Lease Accounting), ensuring accurate application, documentation, and ongoing compliance across all client engagements.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and finalization of accurate financial statements for external clients, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Manage and supervise general ledger activities, including review and approval of journal entries, reconciliations, and overall financial integrity.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring strong internal controls, accuracy, and efficiency across processes.
  • Supervise payroll processing and review payroll tax filings for multiple clients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and drive month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financials are complete and accurate.
  • Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client and internal reporting standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients—leading discussions, presenting financial results, resolving discrepancies, and providing strategic financial guidance.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of client-facing accountants, including performance management, coaching, and professional development.
  • Establish, standardize, and continuously improve accounting processes, workflows, and quality control measures to support scalability.
  • Collaborate with leadership on operational strategy, client service delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of accounting experience, with strong exposure to US-based clients
  • Proven experience managing a team of senior accountants
  • Strong expertise in US GAAP
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, including end-to-end financial processes
  • Experience with technical US GAAP topics, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Lease Accounting), is strongly preferred
  • Must have hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and general ledger accounting
  • Strong client-facing experience, with the ability to confidently lead discussions, explain financial results, and resolve discrepancies
  • Experience managing multiple clients with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
