We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to build and lead an accounting team in the Philippines supporting U.S.-based real estate operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for team development, accounting operations, financial reporting, process transition, and quality control. You will work closely with U.S. finance leadership and oversee accounting activities across property management, construction, and real estate operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, hire, train, and manage a growing accounting team.
- Lead the transition of accounting processes from an outsourced provider.
- Oversee AP, AR, reconciliations, cash management, intercompany transactions, and month-end close.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Establish accounting controls, review processes, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Partner with U.S. leadership and communicate directly with clients/property owners.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and team efficiency.
Qualifications
- CPA (Philippines) or equivalent; Big 4 or public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate/property accounting.
- Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams; 10+ team members preferred.
- Experience supporting U.S.-based clients or companies.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Experience with AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Willingness to work hours overlapping with U.S. Pacific Time.
