Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager Finance & Accounting Operations
Reports to: APGM / Head of FAO
Role Summary:
The Senior Accounting Manager will lead and manage the delivery of high-quality finance and accounting services for enterprise clients. This role focuses on operational excellence, compliance, process improvement, and people leadership across accounting, FP&A, and other finance functions. The Senior Accounting Manager ensures accurate, efficient, and compliant financial operations while supporting growth, transformation, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence & Service Delivery
- Oversee end-to-end accounting and finance operations, including Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and FP&A processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP), regulatory requirements, and internal controls (SOX, audit readiness).
- Monitor operational performance, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to client SLAs and quality standards.
- Lead capacity planning, resource management, and cost optimization within the accounting team.
- Manage escalation of critical client issues and drive timely resolution.
Strategic & Commercial Support
- Partner with senior leadership to support growth initiatives, service delivery enhancements, and operational strategy.
- Provide insights on accounting operations, process gaps, and opportunities for automation and efficiency improvement.
- Contribute to business development and client engagement by providing operational expertise and solution recommendations.
People & Culture
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Lead talent management initiatives including recruitment, retention, career development, and performance management.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, IT, and client teams).
Transformation & Innovation
- Drive process improvement initiatives and automation (RPA/AI/analytics) to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement standardization, knowledge sharing, and best practices across the accounting operations.
- Support change management initiatives and adapt processes to evolving regulatory and client requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 812 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance operations, or shared services/outsourcing environments.
- Proven experience managing accounting teams, operational performance, and client delivery.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, standards (IFRS/US GAAP), and internal controls.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring and developing teams.
- Client-focused mindset with the ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
- MUST BE AMENABLE TO WORK ON NIGHT SHIFT/US HOURS
